Hosting

This website is operated with WordPress and hosted on servers of Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Espelkamp, Germany, as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure and efficient provision of the website).

Access data

When you visit our website, access data (e.g. pages accessed, date and time, IP address, referrer URL, browser and operating system) are processed to establish the connection, ensure system security and for administrative purposes (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and deleted automatically.

Contact forms and email

Data you submit via our forms or by email are processed to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries, otherwise your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The forms use the Jetpack plugin; submissions are checked for spam by Akismet (Automattic). A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; Automattic uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Enquiries that do not lead to a mandate are deleted at the latest after six months.

Statistics and cookies

We use Jetpack Stats to obtain aggregated statistics on the use of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics purposes; only technically necessary cookies are set (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) and may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; the authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hanover, Germany.

Confidentiality

As lawyers, we are subject to a statutory duty of professional secrecy (§ 43a(2) BRAO, § 203 German Criminal Code).
